About us

Emma Stirling

Emma Stirling is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and is artistic director of Recursion Co. Recently Emma collaborated with theatre maker Nick Finegan on a performance piece about the myth of Echo and Narcissus which was in NOW ’16 at the Yard Theatre (info here), followed by performances at Ovalhouse and Ugly Duck. ECHO_NARCISSUS was supported by Arts Council England. Her cross-disciplinary practice explores the intersections between live and video performance. As a poet she is interested in feminist reworkings of the lyric ‘I’, dialogue, and stillness in language.
